Hello everyone! Cheerleading is right around the corner!! We can't wait :) I know we are going to have a FaBuLoUs season!
Here are a few reminders:
-Cheerleaders make sure that you are stretching every night and conditioning everyday! We will be able to tell who has been conditioning and who has not!!
-Make sure you are working on your tumbling. We will evaluate your tumbling skills on Wednesday, May 12th.
-Flyers----STRETCH!!!! We can only choreograph the stunts that you are able to perform!
-All of the following forms need to be turned in by the first day of tryouts:
Physical, Tryout Application, SEB Athletic Dept. Release Form, SEBHS Insurance Information, and 2 Teacher Evaluations (filled out by your teacher, and turned in to Liz Jackson by Thursday, May 6th). You will not be able to tryout if the forms are not complete. If you need a cheer packet...please see Liz Jackson at SEBHS or Meredith Jones at BES....asap.
I have added new information on the left hand side of the blog under "Cheer Documents." Simply click on the form that you need, press "Click here to download", "Open", and you will be able to view/print the form. I hope this helps! I have also included the Jr. Jacket Camp Flyer and Registration Form. Each cheerleader is required to bring at least 3 girls to the Camp on June 5th from 9-3. Get Busy!! :)
Please notice the "Websites" on the left side of the blog (lists helpful information and links to great cheer websites). I have also linked information about our "New Cheer Fundraiser!" Get Ready...we are starting this fundraiser in the fall! :)
GHSA is in the process of posting competitions...so our schedule is not finalized. We will let you know as soon as our schedule is complete. I will post monthly calendars under "Cheer Documents." Please check our cheer blog regularly for updates. I can't wait to see all of you at tryouts! SEB Cheerleaders are the Best!

Candidate Letter :)
So, you are considering trying out for the cheerleading team at Southeast Bulloch High School? CONGRATULATIONS! Don’t let anyone tell you it’s an easy undertaking. The rewards are many if you make the team; however, let’s focus not on the benefits, but on what it will take from you to actually be a SEB Cheerleader.
Cheerleading is a great deal more than standing in front of a crowd performing cheers and yelling and jumping up and down. It is an opportunity to become a better person through the hard work and sacrifices you will make to increase spirit at our school. You will be working with other individuals to make an effective, unified group. You must participate in various fundraising and community/school service projects throughout the school year. You must be willing to condition on your own during the summer and seek gymnastic instruction outside of the school. And, if you feel like there are others trying out for cheerleading that you could never work with, you should reconsider trying out.
Cheerleading takes a lot of self-discipline in order to live up to the standards, goals, rules, and regulations set up in the Southeast Bulloch High School Cheerleading Policy. You will become a very important link in school spirit... a school leader who is responsible for creating school spirit and pride among your fellow students. You will represent each and every student and you must believe that you can set a GOOD example in our school and throughout the community.
Cheerleading is dedicating a year of your life to your school... your talents and time, your energy and your love ♥. It is sharing a great deal of time with other cheerleaders, sharing hard work and a lot of fun, tears, smiles, criticism and aching muscles...in general, making memories that will last a lifetime. Cheerleading is a character builder. You must learn to cooperate with team members, coaches, the faculty and administration, our student body and those within the community. You must care enough about the team to be able to listen to criticism, and learn and improve from the criticism. If you feel you can meet our expectations and are excited about representing your school in a positive way for the upcoming school year, we look forward to seeing you at tryouts.
Cheers!
Coach Jones :)
